SCJAA Basketball offers an instructional basketball program that emphasizes fundamental skills, teamwork, and positive play. The SCJAA Basketball Program is designed for advanced competition for youth boys to continue their growth, abilities, skills, and development in the game of basketball. Practices will typically be twice per week and Saturday games. Practice days and times will be based on the availability of the volunteer coach of the team and each coach may choose to have more than 2 practices per week. Teams will play in the S.W.I.S.H. League against other programs throughout Snohomish, Skagit, Island, and Whatcom counties.  For more information check out the Quick Links below!

All teams will be formed through tryouts that will be held in November.  Practices will typically start in December with games starting in January and ending in March.  All games will be played in Skagit county, and we are working to host games as well.

Registration for the 2023-2024 season will open September 1st!  On September 1st the registration link will be available on this page.  Mark your calendars!

We are excited to keep the same registration costs for the 2023-2024 season.  The pricing for the 2023-2024 season is as follows:  

Teams:

• 3rd/4th: $125
• 4th/5th: $125
• 5th/6th: $125
• 7th: $150
• 8th: $150

These registration fees cover the following:

• SWISH League Registration Fee
• Uniforms
• Gym time

Financial assistance is available.  If you need financial assistance please email info@scjaa.org.  

We are now requiring all SCJAA Basketball coaches to be certified and licensed with USA Basketball.  This partnership allows us to provide certified and trained coaches for our players.  USA Basketball provides background screening and insurance to our coaches.  USA Basketball also provides our coaches with basketball training, practice plans, and skills to develop our players in the game of basketball in a positive learning environment.  We are excited about this partnership and how it will benefit all SCJAA Basketball players.
